This is the recipe to be used in the 2006 Kids Kooking Kontest.

| Ingredients |

1 1/2 cups flour
 |
1/2 cup sugar
 |
1/2 cup brown sugar
 |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
 |
2 cups Maine Wild Blueberries
 |
3/4 cup butter
 |
1 egg
 |
1/2 cup milk
 |
2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
 |

| Directions: |

 | Melt ¼ cup of butter in a 9x9x2 inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Mix blueberries and lemon rind; put in pan, distributing evenly. Cream ½ cup of butter; add granulated sugar and beat until light. Add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk, beating until smooth. Spread over blueberries. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 20 minutes then turn out onto plate. |
