This is the recipe to be used for the 2007 Kids Kooking Kontest, furnished by the Knox-Lincoln County Extension.

| Ingredients |

1¼ cups corn meal
 |
¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
 |
1 cup unsifted flour
 |
1 teaspoon soda
 |
½ teaspoon salt
 |
1 egg
 |
1 cup buttermilk
 |
2 tablespoons molasses
 |
½ cup oil
 |
1½ cups Maine Wild Blueberries
 |

| Directions: |

 | Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Stir together corn meal, flour, brown sugar, soda and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg, oil, buttermilk, and molasses. Add liquid ingredients to dry all at once, blend being careful not to over stir. Fold in wild blueberries. Spoon into a well greased (sprayed) muffin pan, filling about ¾ of the way full. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from muffin pan promptly and cool. |
