The Union Fair Demolition Derby is truly an event for all ages, from the little ones to grandparents and great grandparents. Generations of people have enjoyed the demolition derby and it is one of the highest attended events of the week. We will crash anything from mini vans, to small trucks, to 4 cylinder cars. When organizing the event there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a smile on a little boy’s face when the first big “crash” occurs, dirt starts flying all over the ring, and we start to see smoke billow from under the hoods of vehicles. It is especially exciting when a vehicle catches on fire and the fire department comes in and puts it out, or when a car tries to go up over the interior wall of the ring.

Anyone is able to enter the demolition derby. The rules and regulations are available on our website. For an application or more information, please contact our derby coordinator, Jacolby Leavitt at hometowntowingandrepair@outlook.com or (207) 505-5651. One other little bit of advice, if you are coming as a spectator, make sure you get to the fairgrounds nice and early as it gets close to starting time room becomes more limited. So come enjoy the fair with your family and friends and experience the excitement that is Demolition Derby!

All attendees must enter through the main gate off Common Road. Come early as this popular event has been known to create a traffic jam. You don’t want to miss the first big crash beginning at 7 PM.

Want to be closer to the action? We offer inside the race track parking (infield) after 4 p.m. for a $5 fee paid at the gate when you enter. (Sorry, wall space parking is reserved for competitors and safety crews).
